Overview
The Jesma O’Hara Lecture is an evening dedicated to one of the defining questions of our time: how do we hold onto peace and hope in an age of outrage? We live in a culture of left vs right, us vs them, and an endless scroll of things to be angry about, where everyone’s shouting and no one feels heard. This lecture takes an honest look at where our culture of contempt comes from, and asks whether there’s a better way to live, think, and relate to those we disagree with, rather than easy answers.
Who Is This For?
- Adults, parents, and community members interested in faith, culture, and public life
- Senior students and school leavers thinking about the world they’re stepping into
- Anyone weary of division and curious about a more hopeful way forward
Whether you’re all in, on the fence, or just exploring, there’s a place for you. There is no requirement to be NCC Alumni, Parent, or Student Body.
