Our Employment Environment Agreement

Our employment agreement with staff has six major priorities that are considered essential to the maintenance and preservation of the unique qualities, style and values of the College. These are:

Junior School Receptionist - (6 month part-time contract)

We are seeking a reliable and organised individual to join our Junior School team for a 6 month contract as Receptionist each Friday in Semester 2 2022, with the potential to provide further relief cover on reception (particularly in week one and two of term 3) and other areas in the College.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous administration experience, preferably in a school environment
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Have accuracy and attention to detail in administration tasks
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Hold a current Blue Card (working with children check)
  • Comply with workplace requirements (e.g. COVID-19 vaccinations)

Casual - Administration / Reception

We are seeking a reliable and organised individual to join our team in a casual capacity to provide relief cover in a variety of roles and locations at the College, with the possibility of a permanent part-time position for the right candidate.  The ideal applicant will be able to learn multiple roles and be available to work at short notice.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous administration experience, preferably in a school environment
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)

Senior Agricultural Science / Middle School Science: 1.0FTE – 6 month maternity leave contract with a possibility to extend

Relief Teacher Assistants - Junior School

We are seeking applications for enthusiastic and suitably qualified Teacher Assistants to join our relief pool in the Junior School.

The successful applicants will:

  • Assist teachers with preparing lesson planning and activities for children
  • Prepare materials to be used in daily/weekly programs
  • Assist Teachers in developing and implementing classroom environments that promotes learning and personal growth
  • Assists Teachers in maintaining an appropriate healthy environment by performing cleaning tasks and assuring completion of such on a weekly or more frequent basis

Teacher Assistant - Secondary School Learning Enrichment/Support

We are seeking applications for enthusiastic and suitably qualified Teacher Assistants to join our innovative Middle and Senior School Learning Enrichment/Support Department, commencing as soon as possible.

The successful applicants will:

  • Have completed their Certificate IV in Education Support with specific qualifications pertaining to working with Students with Disabilities
  • Be able to work cooperatively within a large team
  • Support students over all subject areas in Years 7 to 12
  • Support Teachers with diagnosed students while in the classroom environment
  • Support students with special needs on excursions, sports carnivals and at breaks
  • Be able to work to a daily timetable mainly within the mainstream classroom

Learn to Swim Instructors - Infant, Toddler and General and Squad Trainers

NCC early swimmers is a dynamic, fun and option filled program running from Nambour Christian College’s Learn to swim facility. We offer Learn to swim lessons for all ages for both the community as well as our private school based programs. NCC early swimmers is looking for a staff member who is motivated, flexible, energetic and goal orientated to join our growing team.

Based in our purpose built facility in Woombye, our pool is well-equipped and heated year round. We plan to grow and develop a progressive learn-to-swim program for all ages in a fun, structured environment with a focus on water safety.

This role will operate independently with the requirement to develop lesson plans, deliver lessons and set-up and pack-down all equipment to ensuring the pool remains safe before, during and after classes.

Skills and Experience
To be suitable for this position you must have a passion for swim teaching, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be patient, have a natural focus on details and be reliable. You will be able to instil confidence in participants and be prepared to do more than just instruct, with your passion for swim teaching you will be excited to assist in growing the service.

The successful applicants will be able to work flexible hours, commit to set class times and have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant Swim Australia Teacher of Babies and Toddlers qualification
  • Relevant Swim  Australia Teacher qualification
  • Relevant Swim Australia – Teacher of competitive swimming qualification (Squad Trainer)
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualification
  • Previous experience in infant, toddler and general learn to swim teaching is essential

Bus Drivers

Casual Crossing Supervisor

Immediate Start

We are currently seeking applications for a casual Crossing Supervisor.  There are current vacancies on the roster; however being flexible, with the availability to cover other shifts will be highly regarded.

Operational hours are Mondays to Fridays, between the hours of 7.45am – 8.30am and then from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, school term time only.

A medical will be required and training will be provided by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
