Payroll Officer

Part-time position for 2021 and full-time in 2022.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our business office team.  The ideal candidate will be motivated, with a positive attitude and the willingness to contribute to the team and the Christian culture of the College.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing a payroll for 450+ employees across various awards:
  • An advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite, TASS school system, SAGE MicrOpay & ConnX HRMS is desirable;
  • Have a proven ability to work autonomously and as a constructive member of a team with a professional and courteous manner;
  • Be able to accurately process payroll under limited supervision, including the accurate interpretation and application of appropriate legislations, policies, practices and procedures as they relate to conditions of service;
  • Have the ability to problem solve in a proactive, professional manner;
  • Have the ability to work competently under pressure to meet crucial deadlines
  • Have a high level of confidentiality, integrity and discretion.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents in both written and oral form.
  • Hold a current Blue Card (working with children check) or ability to obtain.

Admin Assistant (Absences)

Part-time, term-time position (6.5 hours per day)
Commencing immediately

This role requires the successful applicant to demonstrate a high proficiency with TASS (The Alpha School System).  The major responsibility of this role is ensuring that student attendance data is accurate.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to commence training immediately
  • Have recent experience working in a school office
  • Demonstrate a proficiency and aptitude with TASS
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency with Microsoft Word
  • Be reliable and flexible, with the ability to work in the changing environment of recording student movement
  • Have strong problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work as a team member and also independently
  • Communicate effectively with adults and students
  • Hold a current Blue Card (working with children check)
