It is a Prep to Year 12 school with approximately 1220 students. The College also contains an Early Learning Centre facility for children aged 15 months and above.

Deputy Head of Junior School

About the role (please also review the Position Description):

Full Time. Permanent. Commencement Date Term 1, 2024

Our Deputy Head of Junior School will work alongside the Head of Junior School to support the delivery of Christian education in our Junior School and proactively influence the well-being of the children entrusted to us. A commitment to developing trusting relationships with parents, staff and students, being adaptable, empathetic, and solution focussed with the ability to facilitate and support the professional growth of others will be key expectations of the incumbent.

In addition, our Deputy Head of Junior School will work alongside the Head of Junior School to support excellence and equity in education by working with staff on improving educational outcomes for all students.

Our Deputy Head of Junior School should be an effective communicator and a creative and innovative leader who is passionate about education and committed to continuous improvement. As part of our multidisciplinary team, the Deputy Head of Junior School will collaborate with key stakeholders to also facilitate the ongoing enhancement and implementation of pastoral care and student wellbeing programs, and behaviour management systems.

Music Tutor - Piano

About the role (please also review the Position Description):

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and committed educator to join our team as our Piano Tutor.  The ability to teach piano, along with experience in AMEB or Trinity music examinations is essential. This is a term time only fixed term part-time contract from July 2023 until end November 2023. The role will involve teaching individual and small group lessons, for approximately 15 hours per week, three days per week – Wednesday to Friday.

Bus Drivers - Casual, Part-time, Term-time

We are seeking competent drivers who are people focussed, reliable and suitably qualified to join our outstanding team of Bus Drivers to commence immediately.

About the role (please also review the Position Description):

You will be required to operate College buses during scheduled morning and/or afternoon bus runs, during term time only. On occasion, fulfill additional duties for college excursions and off-campus activities. A vital part of the role is to also ensure professional and timely communication with parents and to provide a safe, supportive caring environment for our students.

Learn to Swim Instructors

Infant, Toddler and General Swim Instructors

NCC Early Swimmers is a dynamic, fun and option filled program running from Nambour Christian College’s Learn to swim facility. We offer learn to swim lessons for all ages for both the community and our private school-based programs. NCC Early Swimmers is looking for a staff member who is motivated, flexible, energetic and goal orientated to join our growing team.

Based in our purpose-built facility in Woombye, our pool is well-equipped and heated year-round. We plan to grow and develop a progressive learn-to-swim program for all ages in a fun, structured environment with a focus on water safety.

This role will operate independently with the requirement to develop lesson plans, deliver lessons and set-up and pack-down all equipment to ensure the pool remains safe before, during and after classes.

Skills and Experience
To be suitable for this position, you must have a passion for swim teaching, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be patient, have a natural focus on details and be reliable. You will be able to instil confidence in participants and be prepared to do more than just instruct and with your passion for swim teaching, you will be excited to assist in growing the service.

The successful applicant will be able to work flexible hours, commit to set class times and have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant Swim Australia Teacher of Babies and Toddlers qualification and/or relevant Swim  Australia Teacher qualification
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualification
  • Experience is preferred but not essential
