It is a Prep to Year 12 school with approximately 1250 students. The College also contains an Early Learning Centre facility for children aged 15 months and above.

Industrial Design and Technology Teacher – Temporary, Part-Time Position

Are you a skilled educator with expertise teaching Industrial technology skills (Applied)?  Do you have a strong commitment to supporting students, particularly in the delivery of wood-based subjects? If so we want to invite you to apply for this temporary part-time position, teaching mostly our senior school students who are passionate about the practical side of learning.

About the role:

As a key member of the INTAD team, the successful applicant will have the full support of the Head of Department, and colleagues to enable them to transition into this temporary role. The majority of classes will be with our Senior Students with a focus primarily on wood based skills learning.

About you:

The successful applicant will:

Payroll Support Officer

Do you have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to employees, are approachable, keen to be a part of an amazing team and have experience in payroll administration? If so, we invite you to apply for this newly created position of Payroll Support Officer within our team.

About the role:

A key member of the payroll team, the Payroll Support Officer will provide essential assistance and contribute to the efficient functioning of the payroll process. Collaboration with other payroll team members, People and Culture department, and other relevant stakeholders to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll activities are core responsibilities. The position is a newly created roles and is Permanent, Part-time, 20 hours per week. Please review the Position Description for more details on responsibilities.

About you:

Have an active Christian faith and personal alignment and commitment to the Mission and Vision of Nambour Christian College. Hold a current working with children check (Qld Blue Card) or can obtain.

 

While there is no formal qualification required for this role, previous experience in payroll administration or a related field is ideal. Familiarity with payroll software systems, Microsoft Office Suite and a strong working knowledge of Excel will be highly regarded. As will a knowledge of employment law and regulations, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

 

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, demonstrate a considered and mature approach to tasks, and have a genuine commitment to integrating into our busy payroll team. A key priority is that you will consistently deliver outstanding care, remain approachable, professional, and responsive to the needs of our staff.

 

As this is a newly created position within our payroll team, the incumbent should be committed to their own professional growth and learning, and willing to adapt and grow with the role.

NCC Early Swimmers - Learn to Swim Instructors

Infant, Toddler and General Swim Instructors

NCC Early Swimmers is a dynamic, fun and option filled program running from Nambour Christian College’s Learn to swim facility. We offer learn to swim lessons for all ages for both the community and our private school-based programs. NCC Early Swimmers is looking for a staff member who is motivated, flexible, energetic and goal orientated to join our growing team.

Based in our purpose-built facility in Woombye, our pool is well-equipped and heated year-round. We plan to grow and develop a progressive learn-to-swim program for all ages in a fun, structured environment with a focus on water safety.

This role will operate independently with the requirement to develop lesson plans, deliver lessons and set-up and pack-down all equipment to ensure the pool remains safe before, during and after classes.

Skills and Experience
To be suitable for this position, you must have a passion for swim teaching, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be patient, have a natural focus on details and be reliable. You will be able to instil confidence in participants and be prepared to do more than just instruct and with your passion for swim teaching, you will be excited to assist in growing the service.

The successful applicant will be able to work flexible hours, commit to set class times and have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant Swim Australia Teacher of Babies and Toddlers qualification and/or relevant Swim  Australia Teacher qualification
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualification
  • Experience is preferred but not essential
