NCC Swimmers - Casual Qualified Learn to Swim Instructor

NCC Swimmers

We are seeking a Casual Learn to Swim Instructor, flexible working arrangements, commencing April 26.

If you have flexibility to teach swimming classes Monday to Friday, then this role will suit you.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Swim Australia / AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Babies/Infants and Toddlers qualification
  • Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes certificate, Swim Squad Fundamentals, or Foundation Coaching
  • Swim Australia / AUSTSWIM Teacher of Access and Inclusion / Learner with Disability Certificate

School Café Assistant Manager

School Café Assistant Manager

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic hospitality professional who is passionate about food, service, and supporting a thriving Christian school community?

About the Role

The School Café Assistant Manager plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of NCC’s Junior and Secondary School cafés and catering services.

Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will assist with day‑to‑day café operations, food preparation, customer service, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. When required, you will provide leadership support in the Catering Manager’s absence to ensure continuity of service.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, student‑focused environment and who takes pride in delivering high‑quality, nutritious food and exceptional service.

The position is Permanent, Part-time, 26 hours per week, 4 days per week (Tuesday to Friday). Please review the Position Description for more details on responsibilities.

About You

You are a positive, reliable hospitality professional who values teamwork and high‑quality service. You are well organised, adaptable in busy environments, and build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors. You take pride in supporting a friendly, welcoming café environment and are committed to upholding the Christian values and ethos of the College.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Cooking skills and/or relevant hospitality experience
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
  • Ability to support menu preparation, stock control, and daily operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Team‑focused, professional, and flexible in supporting leadership

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current Working with Children (Blue Card)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry experience
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

School Crossing Supervisor: Casual Term Time

Looking for a meaningful way to contribute to our College community? Nambour Christian College is seeking Casual School Crossing Supervisors to help keep our school crossing areas safe, calm and welcoming during peak times.

About the Role

Reporting to the Bus Operations Manager and working with the Road Safety Consultant and Area Supervisor (Road Safety Sunshine Coast), the Crossing Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Assisting pedestrians to cross safely at approved internal crossings
  • Directing vehicles to ensure safe traffic flow
  • Monitoring traffic conditions and identifying potential hazards
  • Reporting serious incidents or accidents
  • Providing guidance to pedestrians on road safety rules
  • Working in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements
  • Carrying out duties in all weather conditions

This is a Casual, term‑time only position, working 1.75 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

  • Ability to pass a health assessment by a Government Medical Officer or qualified medical practitioner (arranged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads)
  • Willingness to wear all provided protective clothing (high‑visibility headwear, vest, sash and sunscreen) while on duty
