NCC Junior School families are warmly invited to attend an evening with Dr Brenda Heyworth — Educator, Psychiatrist and Author.
Raising children comes with many rewarding moments, but it can also feel overwhelming when big emotions take over. When children struggle to manage these feelings, their natural instincts can kick in, often leading to challenging behaviour. It can sometimes feel like you’re right there in the jungle with them.
Drawing on her well-known ‘Jungle’ analogy, Dr Heyworth offers a practical and easy-to-understand framework to help parents and carers better support children and young adolescents. This session will focus on building emotional regulation and self-control, while providing simple, effective strategies you can use at home.
This is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families as you navigate the journey of raising children together.
